    Butler Family Fund publication "Ending Homelessness: The Philanthropic Role" was awarded a Wilmer Shields Rich Award for excellence in communications by the Council on Foundations in the category of Public Information Campaigns. This publication is based on the belief that foundations large and small can play a significant role in helping to end homelessness. This guide is the third in a series of papers published by the Neighborhood Funders Group to help grantmakers better understand housing public policy issues and to encourage sustained, strategic public and private investments in housing and homelessness.
